If you want to earn money writing then you must first write some articles even if these are only on a blog - this will mean that when you apply for work you will have some samples of your writing to show to prospective customers. 
Becoming a Wealthy Writer
It is possible to become a wealthy writer, although I haven't gotten there yet. One way to start earning money is to sign up for a free Google Adsense account and run Google ads on your blog. If you write plenty of good and interesting content then Google will like your site and this means it will get indexed so that people can find it. When visitors to your blog click on the Google ads then this is credited to your account.
Many writers become affiliates and sell products that belong to other people and for this they receive a commission. If you want to earn money this way then it is vital that you promote the product you are affiliated to if you want people to click on the link and earn you some money.
There are plenty of bidding sites where writers can find jobs, make a bid, and if the bid is accepted, then they start earning money from their writing.
